US President-elect Donald Trump recently turned heads on the internet with what appeared to be a “new hairstyle,” sparking widespread speculation on social media.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by supporter Michael Solakiewicz, the 78-year-old president-elect was dressed in golf attire, including a branded Trump polo shirt, at his Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach.

In the 21-second clip, Trump’s hair looks notably flatter or shorter, starkly contrasting the iconic bouffant that has defined his public image for decades.
The incoming president enters a room to applause. He pauses to ask, “Is everybody having a good time?” which elicits cheers, followed by, “Is everybody a Republican?” garnering more applause.
It remains unclear whether Trump, who appeared with his usual hairstyle at a press conference on Monday, has permanently changed his look or opted for a more casual style that day.
At first, many speculated that Trump had opted for a significant haircut, as his hair seemed slicked down, a departure from his typically voluminous look. Yet, some social media commentators suggested the change might merely result from “hat hair.”
This isn’t the first time Trump’s hair has caused a stir. In June 2019, during his first term, he briefly switched from his trademark bouffant to a flatter, more sleek style, which caught significant attention online before he returned to his regular look days later.
Trump’s latest hairstyle has drawn both praise and criticism from online audiences.
