The Bollywood film industry gathered on Monday to mourn the loss of veteran actor Dharmendra. The legendary star passed away earlier today, prompting an outpouring of grief.
Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, and Salman Khan arrived at the Pawan Hans crematorium to pay their last respects. They were photographed arriving under heavy police security. They were joined by a host of other prominent figures from the industry. Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Sanjay Dutt were also in attendance.

Abhishek Bachchan, Zayed Khan, and producer Siddharth Roy Kapur were also present. They stood alongside members of Dharmendra’s family to honour the late actor. Born in 1935 in Punjab, Dharmendra’s journey to stardom began with a talent hunt. He won a nationwide contest in 1958, which launched his career in Hindi cinema.
He quickly rose to become one of Bollywood’s most beloved stars. His career spanned over six decades, featuring iconic roles in romance, action, and comedy.

His performance in Phool Aur Patthar established him as a leading man. He later achieved immortal fame for his role as Veeru in the classic film Sholay. For his immense contribution to Indian cinema, he was honoured with the Padma Bhushan. This is India’s third-highest civilian award.
