The recent Delta Airlines plane crash in Toronto on Monday has sparked a wide array of reactions across social media, with users speculating about the possible causes of the incident.

While some users have sarcastically attributed the crash to U.S. President Donald Trump, others have debated the impact of Delta Airlines’ Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policies and adverse weather conditions.

Social media platforms were quickly inundated with comments, especially from Trump supporters who criticized the tendency to blame the president for various unrelated crises. A post on X captured the sentiment: “Plane crashes in Canada. Trump’s fault. No thinkers, just reactionaries.”

President Trump, 78, has been scrutinised for several aviation incidents since his inauguration on January 20. However, aviation experts suggest that severe weather conditions, including high winds in Toronto, likely played a pivotal role in this accident.

As of now, Delta Airlines has not released a comprehensive report on the cause of the crash. Preliminary findings point towards extreme weather conditions as a contributing factor. This incident intensifies ongoing concerns regarding flight safety, with aviation authorities continuing to investigate a series of recent crashes.

The online debate continues to unfold while the actual cause of the crash remains under investigation. Authorities are expected to provide more detailed information in the days to come.
