The death toll in Tharparkar following drought and famine condition is continuing to grow as another child perished in Mithi due to starvation, taking number of deaths of 51 in last 43 days.
The deceased include a 5-day old daughter of Abdul Razzaq of Khanor Otha village in Thar. She died at civil hospital Mithi, two newborns Imtiaz Nuhani and Allah Jurio in Warnai village and a 7-month old Revo Kohli of Krishen Khohli village in Diplu.
The assistance for drought-hit people of Thar seems inadequate as necessary medical facilities and staples could not be provided to the dwellers despite repeated promises of the Sindh government.
