Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel in a encounter killed one terrorist in Sukkur late Sunday.
One terrorist was killed, while two others managed to flee during an encounter during snap checking on Sukkur-Shikarpur link road.
According to SP CTD, three men riding on a motorcycle were asked to pull over, at which, they opened fire on CTD personnel. In retaliatory fire, one terrorist was killed, while two of his accomplices managed a getaway from the scene.
SP CTD also added that the snap checking was being conducted on credible intelligence about some terrorists entering into Sindh from Balochistan.
Combing operations were underway in Sukkur and Shikarpur since Sunday morning, to eliminate any potential threats.
Officials also recovered explosives, detonators and a handgun from the scene.
