In the FIFA World Cup 2022, Croatia kept its perfect record intact by routing the Canada team by a score of 4-1 to move closer to qualifying for the round of 16.
The runners-up from the last world cup, who were surprised by the goal scored by Canada’s Alphonso Davies two minutes into the match, kept their nerves to hand John Herdman’s side a 4-1 beating and knock them out of the running for the trophy.
Andrej Kramaric scored an equalizer for his team in just 34 minutes. Still, the Canadian could not continue its dominance and hang on to its early advantage.
After that, Marko Livaja gave Croatia the lead just before halftime when he got the ball near Canada’s penalty area, took a touch, and then shot the ball into the nets. This put Croatia in the driver’s seat.
