The special court hearing the “high treason” case on Monday rejected Pervez Musharraf’s plea to remove his name from the exit control list (ECL).

The court declared it to be the government’s job to decide on the matter.

In today’s hearing before the special court, Musharraf’s legal council  submitted a petition seeking permission for his client to visit his mother who is said to be in a highly critical condition  in a hospital in UAE.

The nonagenarian Zarin Musharraf was rushed to W.W. Wilson Hospital in Sharjah Saturday, ahead of her son’s scheduled appearance.

Musharraf was formally chargesheeted when he was produced in the Special Court hearing high treason case against him. However, the ex-army ruler denied all charges
