Comedian Shraddha Jain, whose uproarious video on tech sector layoffs became an internet sensation, has returned with another humorous creation.
Known as ‘Aiyyo Shraddha’ on social media, she takes a lighthearted jab at the performance appraisal process this time. In the video, she impersonates a manager anxious about an upcoming evaluation, sharing her concerns with her audience.
“Underrated….but know that the company appreciates your efforts,” captioned Ms. Jain in her post, which has garnered over 694,000 views and close to 68,000 plus likes.
In the amusing video, Jain humorously critiques the performance rating system, observing that most people select the “meets expectations” category. She even proposes a novel GPS tracking system for goals, as they constantly shift.
“Our goals are so incredibly agile that they move all around even before we begin working towards them. They’re everywhere. We need a new GPS tracking system for goals: the Goal Positioning System. Sometimes we can’t make progress even when our goals are clearly in sight,” Jain remarked in the video.
Additionally, she suggested transforming reviews into a game by incorporating a golden buzzer and an MC to make feedback sessions resemble reality shows.
The video shared two days ago has already taken the internet by storm. Netizens applauded Jain for offering comedic relief during a typically tense period for managers and employees.
“I’m a performance management professional, and this hit home. Everything you said is straight out of my daily vocabulary,” one user commented. “Why do I feel this is painfully real and aimed at one specific company?” asked another.
“Anyone seeking a reality check should just watch your videos. Loved the ‘dynamic’ and ‘agile’ part,” said a third viewer. “Some of your suggestions should genuinely be considered!” added another.
