Over 200 students of Colonel Sher Khan Cadet College were hospitalized on Sunday after they suffered food poisoning in Swabi.
According to provincial Health Minister Shehram Tarakai over 200 students of Colonel Sher Khan Cadet College were affected due to food poisoning, who were being shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Peshawar and Mardan Medical Complex.
At least 27 were moved to Mardan Medical Complex and other nearby health facilities, Rescue 1122 officials told the media. Rescue 1122’s District Emergency Officer Dr Haris Habib said they have set up a camp inside the College to provide immediate aid to the victims.
The minister said ambulances were called in from Nowshera and Mardan while teams of doctors were also dispatched to the college to cope with the situation.
