Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif reiterated to break the nexus between terrorists, criminality and corruption.

COAS while talking to a gathering held by the Chinese embassy at the 89th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA).

The army chief said that Operation Zarb-e-Azb would continue to act against terrorists of all hues and colors.

“Our resolve to break the nexus between terrorists, criminality and corruption is unflinching,” he said

Extending sincere greetings to Chinese leaders, people and armed forces, he said that PLA was the most formidable force that reminds power of peoples’ unity for which no goal was too high, no distance was too long, and no task was too hard.

“Pak Army and people of Pakistan take pride in our bonds of friendship,” he said, adding that the affinity of views between China and Pakistan reflects our common vision and shared destiny.

He said CPEC was a game changer for Pak and the entire region. It would significantly improve the lives of 100s of millions of people.

“CPEC security is our national undertaking. We will leave no stone unturned to ensure its timely completion and uninterrupted success,” the army chief said.

In his address, the Chinese envoy thanked Pakistan Army for creating a secure environment for making CPEC possible and protecting it.

He thanked Pakistan Army for indiscriminate and highly successful operations to wipe out terrorism from Pakistan and the region.
