The Chief of Army Staff  (COAS) General Raheel Sharif warned that hostile elements would be rooted out from the country with an iron hand.

COAS while addressing a gathering at Headquarters Southern Command in Quetta  said “Together we will defeat any nefarious design of hurting Pakistan and root out hostile enemies from our country,”

According to ISPR, the army chief was briefed on operational matters and security situation of the province. He appreciated the efforts of law enforcement agencies, especially intelligence agencies in unearthing foreign intelligence network.

COAS also visited the Command and Staff College and emphasized on Pakistan’s resolve and determination to confront global phenomenon of terrorism and extremism.

He said that no military in the world would be able to synergise effects as much as Pakistan army could do single handedly.

Dilating on the effects of Operation Zarb-e-Azb, he explained as to how he had transited from hard core kinetic operation to intelligence based operaton and now combing operation.
