It should be mentioned here that the meteorologists forecast heavy rain for coastal areas of the province including Makran from Friday night. The Met Department also forecast that intermittent showers will continue till Monday.

Moreover, the Meteorological office envisioned downpours in upper Sindh areas (Sukkur, Larkana division), Islamabad, Rawalpindi, FATA, Peshawar and Malakand divisions for the next two days.

Bursting into an emergency visit, Sindh Local Bodies Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon moved about the city in lashing showers. He directed Commissioner Karachi and Municipal Commissioner to inspect the affected areas and ensure the earliest drainage of rainwater by tapping into all resources.
