Chenab river wrecking havoc near Multan

Chenab continues to wreak havoc throughout its course as 600,000 cusec flood flows near Multan right now. Despite several holes in Sher Shah Barrier, water pressure is still too high. In fact the Pressure tore apart Rasulpur Zamindara barrier to break into the villages located nearby.

Flood current in Chenab is destroying everything in its path. To save Multan, several barriers were opened due to which hundreds of villages including Sultanpur, Rajapur and Basti Muradpur. Multan has been cut off from Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur and Dera Ghazi Khan. Flood current of around 700,000 cusec is moving fast towards Head Panjnad.

Water levels are constantly rising in River Indus as well. After flood warning in Indus, Sindh government has declared emergency in Kashmor, Jacobabad, Ghotki, Larkana, Sukkur, Mirpur, Nawabshah and Dadu.
