Chelsea produced a dramatic fightback to defeat West Ham United 3–2 in a heated Premier League London derby on Saturday, overturning a two-goal deficit with a stoppage-time winner at the London Stadium.
Goals from half-time substitutes Joao Pedro and Marc Cucurella restored parity before Enzo Fernandez sealed victory deep into added time.
West Ham, battling to pull clear of the relegation zone, made a flying start. Captain Jarrod Bowen opened the scoring in the seventh minute before Crysencio Summerville doubled the lead in the 36th with a powerful finish past Robert Sanchez.
Chelsea struggled before the break and showed signs of fatigue after a demanding midweek win away to Napoli. Loose passing and mistimed tackles allowed the hosts to control the first half.
Half-Time Changes Transform Chelsea
Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior made three substitutions at the interval, and the response was immediate. In the 57th minute, Wesley Fofana delivered a cross that Joao Pedro headed in at the far post.

Momentum swung decisively in Chelsea’s favour, and Cucurella levelled the score in the 70th minute with a diving header that capped a sustained spell of pressure.
Fernandez Delivers at the Death
Chelsea completed the comeback two minutes into stoppage time. Joao Pedro cut the ball back from the right, and Fernandez drove a composed finish into the net to spark celebrations among the travelling fans.
Tempers flared moments later, and West Ham defender Jean-Clair Todibo saw red for his role in a post-goal melee.
Away from the derby drama, Chelsea confirmed earlier this week that Raheem Sterling left the club by mutual agreement. The 31-year-old joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2022 but struggled to secure a role following managerial changes.
Sterling spent last season on loan at Arsenal but failed to convince manager Mikel Arteta. After returning to Chelsea, he remained outside first-team plans, and both parties agreed to part ways.
