Chacha Noor Din, a distinguished artisan from Peshawar, celebrated for his expertise in making Peshawari chappals, received a Civil Award on Pakistan Day for his craftsmanship.

Chacha Noor Din recently designed a Chappal pair named “Prisoner 804” for former Prime Minister Imran Khan, which garnered widespread attention.

On March 23, he was awarded a Civil Award for Excellence for his craftsmanship. Chacha Noor Din received his award from the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Haji Ghulam Ali.

On Pakistan Day, March 23, individuals from various sectors were awarded at the President’s House and provincial Governor’s Houses for their notable services.

In the central ceremony, the President of Pakistan distributed civil honours to various personalities at the President’s House in Islamabad.

Governors from all four provinces also honoured distinguished personalities within their regions, including Chacha Noor Din, known for his craftsmanship in making Peshawari chappals.

In an earlier conversation, Chacha Noor Din revealed that the chappal, dubbed “Prisoner 804,” was specially made for former Prime Minister Imran Khan. The chappal was crafted using patent leather and Japanese rubber, and Noor Din expressed his wish to present it to Khan, stating he would deliver it to Adiala Jail if Khan did not return from imprisonment.

Chacha Noor Din mentioned that creating the chappal involved significant effort, costing 25,000 rupees and conceived three months prior as a unique gift for Imran Khan.

He is also preparing Peshawari chappals named “Prisoner 804” for the public but at a lower price. It is noteworthy that Chacha Noor Din has previously sent Peshawari chappals to the famous Indian artist Shah Rukh Khan through his cousin.
