As a security measure against probable terrorist attacks on mourners’ processions during the observance of Ashura , the cellular networks have been switched off in the sensitive cities of Pakistan.

In most of the cities, the services would remain suspended from 06:00 AM till 10:00 PM on November 3 and 4 (9th and 10th Muharram-ul-Haram).

Sindh Home Department has said that there will be no cellular coverage in Karachi and Sukkur on both November 3, and 4 while Hyderabad will see a mobile blackout only on November 4.

CITY               DATE                      TIME

Karachi          Nov 3           06:00AM to 10:00PM

Karachi          Nov 4           06:00AM to 10:00PM

Sukkur           Nov 3           12:00PM to 09:00PM

Sukkur           Nov 4           08:00AM to 01:00AM

Hyderabad     Nov 4           06:00AM to 09:00PM

In restless Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Dera Ismail Khan, Kohat, Hangu, Lakki Marwat, Bannu and parts of Peshawar will not have mobile connectivity on both the eve and the day of Ashur.
