The CCTV footage has surfaced detailing the carjacking incident involving MQM-P leader Haider Abbas Rizvi, which transpired on Wednesday night in Karachi.
Captured outside the Patel Hospital in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, the footage vividly depicts the incident. It reveals three individuals cornering Rizvi’s vehicle. Notably, two armed individuals force the car door open and menacingly take the driver, Adeel, hostage. As per Haider Abbas Rizvi’s account, the event occurred at around 9:20 p.m. These assailants took away his car, driver’s cash, and mobile phone and subjected Adeel to physical abuse.
In his testimony, the driver narrated how, after safely dropping off Rizvi’s family at a private hospital, he had parked the vehicle when the incident occurred. Subsequently, he was abandoned by the culprits in the Safoora Chowrangi area.
Police Actions and Investigations
Following the incident, the police confirmed the vehicle’s registration in Islamabad and promptly initiated a search operation to trace the stolen vehicle and the perpetrators. The case is currently under investigation at the Gulshan-e-Iqbal police station.
