In a historic turn, Catherine Dalton, former Ireland player, has been appointed the new Fast Bowling Coach for the Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). This appointment is celebrated as she becomes the first woman ever in a coaching role for a high-tier men’s cricket team.

A Storied Career in Coaching

With her Level 3 Advanced Coach certification from the ECB, Dalton brings a wealth of experience from her previous coaching roles in the UK and India. Her recent work involves honing young fast bowlers at the Multan Sultans’ youth academy, proving her commitment and expertise in cricket coaching.

Setting New Benchmarks in Men’s Cricket

Embracing her new role, Dalton highlights the excitement of working with top-tier players and the honour of being the first woman in such a prestigious position. Her appointment is not just a personal achievement but sets a precedent, encouraging more female participation in diverse roles within sports.
