In a dramatic moment during Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ongoing trial, testimony from former stylist Deonte Nash revealed that Cassie Ventura’s alleged romantic involvement with former Miami Dolphins linebacker Andre Branch triggered a jealous outburst from the rapper.
The Cassie Andre Branch connection, detailed in court on May 29, 2025, has intensified scrutiny on Combs’ relationship with Ventura, as reported by TMZ.
Nash, who worked for Combs from 2008 to 2018, described Branch as “the cute football player” and confirmed Cassie’s relationship. While Nash provided no specific timeline, Cassie’s testimony highlighted a 2016 confrontation where Combs seized her phone, suspecting she was contacting an NFL player. “He was trying to read my phone,” Cassie told the court, noting her mother called the police after the incident.

When defence attorney Anna Estevao questioned if her connection with Branch was cheating, Cassie clarified, “When you’re not with somebody, it’s not cheating. We weren’t married.” Her testimony painted a picture of Combs’ controlling behaviour, a recurring theme in the Diddy trial testimony.
Andre Branch’s Role
Andre Branch, an NFL player from 2012 to 2019 with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Miami Dolphins, has not commented on the allegations. Since retiring, he has maintained a low profile, leaving the Andre Branch NFL link to Cassie unaddressed publicly.
