Car sales in Pakistan increased by 58.21% in July 2024, a rise compared to last year’s fiscal year 2023-24.

According to data from the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA), in July 2024, dealers sold 5,857 cars across Pakistan, a substantial increase from 3,702 units sold in July 2023. Notably, sales of Honda Civic and City models rose dramatically, from 208 units last year to 790 units this year.

Toyota also reported a slight growth in sales for its Corolla and Yaris models, which climbed to 1,106 units, up from 1,067 units last July, marking a 3.65 per cent increase.

Suzuki Swift saw the most significant jump, with sales soaring 101.60 per cent to 502 units, up from 249 units in the previous year. Meanwhile, Suzuki Alto nearly doubled its sales, with a 99.23 per cent increase to 2,869 units, up from 1,440.

However, not all models saw gains. Sales of Suzuki Cultus declined sharply to 96 units, down from 177 units, while Suzuki WagonR sales decreased to 139 units from 245 units. On the other hand, Suzuki Bolan sales nearly doubled, rising to 288 units from 146 units last year.
