Excitement builds for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be released this Friday, October 26. This instalment revives the franchise with a thrilling spy adventure. Developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, the game promises a compelling campaign. It features the fastest movement in the series’ multiplayer history and classic round-based Zombies.
As the launch approaches, Activision has shared extensive details. The game will debut on Steam, the Microsoft Store, and Battle.net, priced at $79.99/£69.99. The standard edition will be available for PC players for Xbox Game Pass. In the UK, discounts may reduce the price to £53.99.
Returning character Frank Woods is joined by new faces, including his protégé, Troy Marshall. Described as a principled leader, Marshall adds depth to the cast alongside Jane Harrow, a CIA handler, and agents Felix Neumann and Sevati Dumas.
The campaign offers a mix of blockbuster set pieces, high-stakes heists, and spy missions. Multiplayer introduces 16 new maps, split between 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps for 2v2 or 6v6 formats. A redesigned Prestige system enhances the challenge and rewards.
Echoing “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War,” the campaign includes dialogue choices affecting the story’s end. Players will perform era-specific tasks like lock-picking and hacking, influencing the plot.
