Khairpur: At least twelve people, were killed and twenty others injured in a road accident here on Wednesday.
According to rescue and police sources, the accident took place near Setharja when a bus was traveling from Multan to Karachi collided with the truck near Setharja.
Six passengers lost their lives on the spot.
The wounded were shifted to hospitals in nearby areas for emergency treatment, where five of the injured succumbed to their injuries. The dead also included two women.
Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah has taken notice of the accident and ordered authorities to ensure best the possible medical treatment to the injured.
The bus was going to Islamabad from Karachi. The dead bodies and injured were shifted to nearby hospital.
