Deawoo bus enroute to Multan hijacked near Khanewal

Multan: A passenger bus having at least 30 passengers on board, has been hijacked near Khanewal.

According to sources, a private coach, en-route from Faisalabad to Multan has been hijacked near Khanewal and  hijackers were trying to take the bus to Dera Ghazi Khan (D.G.Khan).

According o police sources, all the roads leading to D.G.Khan have been sealed.

A police official talking to local news channel referring a conversation with a passenger said that we have reports suspicious people on board the bus are forcing the driver to take it D.G. Khan.

The intentions of the kidnappers or their exact numbers is unclear at this point. Meanwhile, the bus service company “Daewoo” has refused to comment on the situation.

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of the incident.

According to latest news, Motorway police has taken the custody of Daewoo buss number 1166 near Hussaini Chowk Kachcha Khoo town near Khanewal and foiled the plan. All 36 souls on board are safe.
