The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) announced the schedule for its 2025 9th and 10th-grade examinations on Monday, April 8.
The official announcement enables 375,000 students to take their tests at 499 examination centers across Karachi. Parents and students can find the complete list of centers on BSEK’s official website, ensuring transparency and accessibility.
BSEK Chairman Syed Sharaf Ali Shah announced that the board has issued computerized admit cards to all registered candidates, streamlining the process.
To maintain the integrity of the examinations, BSEK is enforcing strict rules: no mobile phones or electronic devices will be allowed inside the examination centers, and staff will have the authority to confiscate any such items found. “We’re committed to a fair and secure exam environment,” Shah stated, underscoring BSEK’s long-standing expertise in managing Karachi’s secondary education.

The schedule for the practical exams is still pending, with updates expected to follow. Initially set for March, the matric exams were postponed to April due to the overlap with Ramadan, following a decision supported by the Sindh government to respect cultural observances.
Monday also marked the start of Sindh’s 2025 academic session for schools, with colleges preparing to begin on August 1.
According to BSEK’s calendar, the summer break will run from June 1 to July 31, and the winter holidays are scheduled from December 22 to 31.
