Bruno Mars has teamed up with BLACKPINK’s Rosé for a new single, “Apt,” released today, October 18.
Just days before its launch, Mars shared a playful anecdote on Instagram about their collaboration. He recounted an evening where Rosé introduced him to a Korean drinking game, which led to a humorous exchange where she playfully attempted to kiss him.
Mars expressed his surprise, saying, “Woah Rosie! What part of the game is this?” To which Rosé quipped, “I ain’t playing games with you anymore, lil boy! Big Rosie ’bout that BIDNESS!'”
Accompanying his story, Mars posted a monochrome photo showing a pile of hands, including his and Rosé’s, engaging in the hand-stack game. Rosé responded to his post with a lighthearted, “What’s wrong with uuuu.”
Rosé also shared a photo on Instagram capturing a joyful moment with Mars and captioning it, “The night I taught Bruno how to play a Korean drinking game.” Mars commented on her post, “So much fun! Remember when you tried to kiss me? That was weird. Other than that, it’s a sick pic!”
The collaboration was officially announced on October 17 via a joint Instagram post stating “APT. OCT 18.” The promotional poster featured silhouettes of Mars behind a drum set and Rosé in a leather jacket, set against a pink background. Both artists’ names and the single title were prominently displayed.
“Apt” marks Rosé’s first release following her debut solo album “Rosie,” and Mars’s first since collaborating with Lady Gaga on “Die with a Smile.”
