At a G20 social event in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil’s First Lady, Janja Lula da Silva, made headlines when she directed strong words at billionaire Elon Musk.

Speaking on the need to regulate social media to curb misinformation, Lula da Silva humorously responded to a ship’s horn interrupting her speech by joking, “I think it’s Elon Musk,” followed by a blunt, “I’m not afraid of you, f**k you, Elon Musk.”

Elon Musk, owner of the social network X, responded to a video clip of the remarks by posting a laughing emoji on his platform. He further commented on President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva’s political future by predicting, “They are going to lose the next election.”

A primeira-dama do Brasil, Janja Lula da Silva, mandou Elon Musk “se f*der” em pleno evento do G20, onde estão reunidas lideranças das maiores economias do mundo.

The incident occurred just before the G20 summit, scheduled for Monday and Tuesday in Rio de Janeiro. Earlier this year, Musk’s platform was suspended for a month in Brazil due to non-compliance with local regulations, including failing to appoint a legal representative and defying court orders to block accounts spreading misinformation and hate speech.
