Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, once Hollywood’s most glamorous couple, have settled their divorce after an eight-year legal battle.

The couple, who were married for two years and together for twelve, separated in 2016 when Jolie filed for divorce amid serious allegations against Pitt. She accused him of physical and emotional abuse during an argument on a private flight, including choking one of their children and pouring alcohol on them.

Since the separation, both actors have been locked in a protracted legal struggle, which appears to be resolved. According to Angelina Jolie’s lawyer, James Simon, as reported by People magazine, the couple has finally signed a divorce agreement, marking the end of their lengthy dispute.

Simon stated, “More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt, and since then, she has been dedicated to finding peace and healing for her family. This agreement is a significant step forward in that long process. Angelina is relieved to put this chapter behind her, though she remains weary from the ordeal.”

The settlement was finalized on Monday, December 30, allowing both parties to start the new year with closure. Despite living apart since their initial separation, the formal agreement legally concludes their marriage, allowing both to move forward separately.
