A remote-controlled blast in North Karachi injured two police officers including an assistant sub-inspector (ASI), earlier today
According to the police, the device was planted on the road-side and was detonated via a remote control.
The ASI, identified as Farooq, and the other injured police officer were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical treatment and were reported to be in critical condition.
A police mobile was reportedly the target of the blast and there were four police officers in the vehicle at the time of the explosion.
The vehicle, was also badly damaged as a result of the attack
