Bolan Casting Limited, which specializes in truck and bus parts, has announced the indefinite closure of its production facility. Another auto parts manufacturing plant in Pakistan has ceased operations.
The company has officially notified the Pakistan Stock Exchange of the plant’s closure via a formal letter. Citing a record decrease in truck and bus sales nationally, Bolan Casting Limited expressed that it is grappling with severe financial challenges.
In response to the plummeting demand, the company’s management resolved to indefinitely shut down the manufacturing operations effective August 26, 2024.
This closure of Bolan Casting Limited’s plant marks another significant shutdown in Pakistan’s auto manufacturing sector. It follows previous announcements by Suzuki’s car manufacturing division and Millat Tractors regarding the cessation of their respective plants.
