Bilawal decides to give Punjab LB polls tickets to workers

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari (BBZ) has decided not to grant party tickets for the local bodies (LB) election in Punjab to the relatives of party officials and parliamentarians.

According to party sources and ARY News, BBZ has decided not to give party tickets to the relatives of PPP officials and parliamentarians for the LB elections in Punjab. Whereas the tickets will only be issued to genuine workers on the basis of merit.

The PPP chairman announced that he will soon visit Punjab to meet the workers and listen to their issues.

Five key leaders of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) from Punjab, former federal minister Nazar Muhammad Gondal, former provincial minister and president of PPP’s Okara chapter, Asharf Khan Sohna, former state minister Samsam Bukhari, former MNA from Narowal Chaudhry Tariq Anees and PPP ticket-holder from Okara Arif Lashari have have joined PTI.

PPP Punjab chapter’s senior vice-president Firdous Ashiq Awan has resigned from her post, however her resignation has not been approved.
