Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Patron-in-Chief, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Sunday held out an apology to his party’s sympathizers for ‘mistakes’ committed in the past.

“If PPP’s supporters feel disappointed, then I apologize to them in my personal capacity,” Bilawal said in a statement issued here.

He said he is aware that the party had committed mistakes in the past and asked the PPP sympathizers not to support any undemocratic party that backs extremism. “There are other ways for registering a protest. You should not punish Pakistan and democracy for our mistakes,” he added.

He said PPP is a democratic party and it welcomes a protest within the party.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said: “We are committed to winning back the trust of our workers.”
