Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party, reiterated his commitment to providing free electricity for consumers using up to 300 units if elected Prime Minister.
At a press conference in Peshawar, Bhutto outlined his party’s manifesto, which included this promise and introduced a ‘Kissan Card’ for farmers.
Bhutto emphasized that his party focuses not on seeking government positions but on addressing the populace’s challenges. He highlighted ongoing initiatives in Sindh, where his party distributes free solar power to impoverished communities as part of broader economic recovery efforts.
He urged the importance of learning from past mistakes to avoid repeating them, particularly about combating terrorism. At the upcoming All Parties Conference (APC), he stressed the importance of substantive dialogue over hearsay.
Bhutto also highlighted the need for collective action against terrorism and expressed optimism that resolving issues with Afghanistan could significantly advance regional development.
