Ben Stokes, captain of England, pledged to donate his match money from the three-match Test series against Pakistan to the country’s flood relief effort.
In a Twitter message, Stokes said that he felt great to be in Pakistan for the first time for this “historical series.”
“I’m donating my match fees from this Test series to the Pakistan Flood appeal,” Stokes added
The English squad is now in Pakistan to compete in a Test series against the Green Shirts beginning on December 1.
At the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, the first Test will be played. Later, the second and final Test would be played in Multan and Karachi, respectively.
Stokes tweeted that he was thrilled to be in Pakistan for the first time for this “historical series.”
