The ICC Team of the Year honors 11 players who excelled in a calendar year with the bat, ball, or both.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam has topped the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s ODI Player Rankings since July 2021.

The 28-year-old scored eight fifty-plus scores and three hundred in his nine matches this year. In addition, he scored 679 runs at 84.87.

As Pakistan ODI captain, Babar won three series in a memorable year. Pakistan lost only one ODI to Australia. He captains the 2022 ICC Men’s ODI Team of the Year.
