Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam scored 1,000 Test runs in a calendar year against England.
Babar reached the one-thousand milestone when he scored 45 on the third day of the Karachi Test against England.
Babar is the sixth Pakistani cricketer to do it, and Younis Khan is the only Pakistani did twice in his career. Younis scored 1,179 in 2006 and 1,064 in 2014.
Other Pakistani players are
- Mohammad Yousuf scored 1,788 runs in 2006
- Azhar Ali 1,198 scored in 2016
- Inzamam-ul-Haq scored 1,090 in 2000
