Pakistan women’s volleyball star Azra Farooq was named the ‘Most Valuable Player’ (MVP) at the Maldives Kings Cup.
Azra’s exceptional performance led to six trophies, including four Player of the Match awards. Representing Milton Keynes-based MK Club, she played a pivotal role in securing victories in all four matches. Her consistent excellence earned her the title of best player in each game, ensuring her team clinched the tournament title.
In addition to the MVP award, Azra received a Top 6 Player award, further highlighting her dominance at the event. These accolades not only celebrate Azra’s individual success but also elevate the profile of Pakistan’s women’s volleyball on the international stage.
This marked Azra’s second stint with a club in the Maldives. Previously, she and Muqaddas Bukhari made history as the first Pakistani women to be signed by a volleyball club outside Pakistan when they joined Al-Fawz club for the MZC Ladies’ Cup.
