Following the incident, authorities at the Sarwar Road Police Station responded quickly by detaining the accused, Haris. They also formally registered a case, initiating legal proceedings against him based on the allegations.
According to the First Information Report (FIR) that Ayesha Jahanzeb filed, her husband allegedly threatened her with a firearm. Then he forced her out of their residence, a claim that has shocked both her viewers and the general public.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz quickly took notice of the case and expressed deep concern over the allegations. She called for an immediate and thorough investigation and instructed the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to submit a detailed report on the incident. Moreover, Chief Minister Nawaz ordered that Ayesha Jahanzeb receive the highest standard of medical care to treat her injuries from the incident. This directive ensures that the victim receives all necessary health support as she recovers.
In a strong statement, Chief Minister Nawaz declared, “Women are my red line, and no form of violence against them will be tolerated.” This declaration reaffirms her administration’s commitment to combating violence against women and protecting their rights within the region.
