Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon announced on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, that President Asif Ali Zardari’s health is improving, refuting rumours of a transfer to Dubai for treatment.

Reports have surfaced that Zardari was hospitalized in Karachi after offering Eid ul-Fitr prayers in Nawabshah and is now being transferred to Dubai for further treatment. In response to these rumors, Memon addressed the situation on X, posting a collage of media reports and clarifying, “The reports about President Zardari being shifted to Dubai for treatment are inaccurate.” Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also reached out to wish him a speedy recovery.

PPP Senator Sehar Kamran echoed the sentiment on X, writing, “May Allah grant President Zardari a long, happy life. His resilience inspires us all.”

Wishing His Excellency President Asif Ali Zardari good health and a swift recovery, insha'Allah. May Allah Almighty grant him a long, happy, and fulfilling life. President Zardari is an icon of national unity, his resilience continues to inspire us all. May he lead with strength… pic.twitter.com/0H1fdTsykP

Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori’s office confirmed he spoke with Zardari’s physician, Dr. Asim Hussain, to check his condition and extend well wishes. Zardari’s recent health scare adds to a history of challenges, including a 2024 foot fracture, a 2023 eye surgery, and a 2022 COVID-19 bout with mild symptoms.

Zardari’s medical history includes a chest infection in 2022 and a hospital stay in 2021 due to exhaustion from travel. Despite ongoing rumours about his health, Dr Asim has consistently confirmed that he is stable.
