Former Speaker of the National Assembly, Asad Qaiser, has made some serious allegations concerning the current political climate in Pakistan.
According to Qaiser, the government is making a concerted effort to establish martial law in the country and blames the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party. He claims that while the government is seemingly receptive to martial law, it remains staunchly opposed to cooperation with PTI.
In a firm declaration, Qaiser emphasized that there would be no negotiations or compromises. “There will be no deal; we will not compromise under any circumstances,” he stated, signalling a rigid stance against any form of political negotiation that might undermine their principles.
Further deepening the controversy, Qaiser disclosed that one of their MNAs had been kidnapped and presented with a stark choice: to either accept the position of Minister of State for Interior or to defect to the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
The implication of these offers, he suggested, was an attempt to weaken PTI’s political standing and integrity. However, he insisted that under no circumstances would the kidnapped MNA consider rejoining PTI, highlighting the intense pressure and divisive tactics currently at play in Pakistan’s political arena.
These statements by Asad Qaiser paint a troubling picture of political manipulation and coercion, raising concerns about the stability and democratic processes in the country.
