On August 20, 2025, the CM Punjab Asaan Karobar Loan Scheme, launched by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, continues to empower small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups throughout Punjab.
CM Punjab’s flagship initiative offers interest-free loans to promote entrepreneurship, create jobs, and stimulate economic growth, particularly focusing on women, youth, rural entrepreneurs, and marginalised groups.
The Asaan Karobar Finance Scheme provides flexible financing options through two tiers and a unique Asaan Karobar Card:
- Tier-1: Unsecured loans up to PKR 5 million, requiring only a personal guarantee.
- Tier-2: Secured loans from PKR 6 million to PKR 30 million, backed by collateral.
- Asaan Karobar Card: Quick access to loans up to PKR 1 million without collateral.
Loans have a tenure of up to 5 years, with a 6-month grace period for new businesses and 3 months for existing ones, ensuring accessibility for diverse entrepreneurs.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be a Punjab resident with a valid CNIC.
- Be aged 25–55 years.
- For existing businesses, provide registration and operational history.
- Maintain a clean credit record.
- Submit a feasible business plan or expansion proposal.
- Priority is given to women, youth, persons with disabilities, and rural entrepreneurs.
Application Process
Applying is straightforward:
- Register on the official CM Punjab Asaan Karobar Scheme portal.
- Choose a loan tier based on financing needs and collateral availability.
- Submit documents: CNIC, business plan, financial statements (for existing businesses), collateral proof (for Tier-2), and passport-size photos.
- Pay the processing fee: PKR 5,000 (Tier-1) or PKR 10,000 (Tier-2).
- Await approval, with funds transferred directly to the applicant’s bank account.
