Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Wednesday left for Kabul on his visit to Afghanistan, a day after militants slaughtered 141 people in Peshawar.
According to ISPR, the army chief, accompanied by DG ISI Lieutenant General Rizwan Akhtar, will meet Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and ISAF Commander during his visit.
Sources said the army chief will raise the issue of terrorism and militancy with Afghan authorities.
