Federal Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said that government could call in army to control the situation if need arose.

Speaking to a news channel, Asif said that Imran Khan and Tahir ul Qadri were colliding with the constitution due to their ego.

He said both the parties don’t want to end this impasse through negotiations.  “It is our constitutional and legal duty to protect the state,” he stated.

The defence minister ruled out further talks with the PTI and PAT.
