Saira Banu’s lawyer, Vandana Shah, confirmed the news, calling it a “difficult decision.” Shah said, “After many years of marriage, Mrs. Saira has decided to separate from Mr. AR Rahman. This decision was prompted by considerable emotional strain in their relationship.”
