Apple’s iOS 19 update for iPhone might mirror iOS 18 with a staggered rollout of features, potentially including a more advanced Siri.

Reports suggest that iOS 19 will initially include only some new features, with others delayed to later updates.

iOS 19 Features Release Timeline According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in the latest Power On newsletter, Apple may delay several significant iOS 19 features until Spring 2026. Although set to preview at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in the Summer of 2025, the full release alongside new iPhone models is expected in the Fall of 2025. However, many anticipated features might not appear until the iOS 19.4 update.

This approach follows the pattern established with iOS 18, which, despite a September rollout, initially lacked many AI features previewed at WWDC 2024. These features, including Image Playground, Genmoji, and ChatGPT integration in Siri, were only available in the iOS 18.2 beta updates. Furthermore, a smarter Siri upgrade powered by Apple Intelligence is slated for the iOS 18.3 update next year.

iOS 19 aims to enhance Siri even more by incorporating more sophisticated proprietary large language models (LLMs). This upgrade is expected to improve text generation and facilitate more dynamic conversations, handling complex requests swiftly. These improvements are part of the advancements planned for the iOS 19.4 update in 2026.
