Apple has introduced two new wireless audio products, the Beats Solo Buds and Beats Solo 4 Wireless Headphones.
The Beats Solo Buds provide up to 18 hours of playback time and support seamless one-touch pairing. The Beats Solo 4, which succeeds the Beats Solo 3, includes an improved design and offers up to 50 hours of battery life and a personalized Spatial Audio feature with dynamic head tracking.
The Beats Solo Buds are priced at $79.99 and will be available in the U.S. starting in June. They come in four colours: Arctic Purple, Matte Black, Storm Gray, and Transparent Red. The Beats Solo 4 is available for $199.99 on the Apple website and will begin shipping on May 2. Available colours include Cloud Pink, Matte Black, and Slate Blue.
Regarding specifications, the Beats Solo Buds feature dual-layer drivers and laser-cut vents designed to enhance audio performance. They come with four sizes of ear tips and include a ‘b’ button for customizable on-ear functions such as music and volume control, call handling, and voice assistant activation. These functions and other settings can be managed via the Beats mobile app.
The charging case for the Beats Solo Buds supports USB Type-C and provides up to 18 hours of battery life. A quick five-minute charge offers an hour of playback. These earphones can charge directly from an iPhone 15 or supported Android devices.
The Beats Solo 4 headphones have 40mm drivers and support a wired connection using a 3.5mm audio cable. They feature customizable sliders and angled ear cups for comfort, and their ‘b’ button allows users to manage music, calls, and voice assistants. A 10-minute charge provides up to five hours of playback, and the headphones weigh 217 grams.
