Apple has announced its much-anticipated event for September 9, when it will unveil the iPhone 16 series. The company has extended invitations for this launch, which will take place at the Steve Jobs Theater and live-streamed on YouTube at 10:30 PM IST.
The event, themed “It’s Glowtime,” hints at innovations related to Apple Intelligence, marking the iPhone 16 series as the first to integrate artificial intelligence out of the box. Contrary to earlier reports predicting a September 10 date, Apple has scheduled the event a day earlier, adding an element of surprise.
Apple plans to introduce new products, including updated Apple Watch models and AirPods. Additionally, the company will announce the release dates for iOS 18 and other software updates.
Rumours suggest the iPhone 16 series will feature four models: the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. A notable change this year is introducing an Action button across all models, replacing the traditional alert slider on basic iPhones for the first time with a feature that debuted on last year’s Pro models.
Apple Intelligence, Apple’s latest AI venture, will also be in the spotlight. Following a preview at WWDC, it is anticipated to be a major focus of the event. More detailed information about its integration and capabilities will be revealed during the September 9 presentation.
