The Supreme Court of Pakistan today rejected petitions seeking to annul May 2013 general elections,
The petitions were heard by a three-member bench of the apex court, chaired by Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk.
After arguments with the counsels of the petitioners, the court rejected the application.
The petitions which were filed by former federal minister Zahid Sarfaraz and Justice (retd) Mehmood Akhtar Siddiqui, stated that Election Commission of Pakistan had failed to hold free and fair elections in May 2013.
