The deceased was ANP’s caretaker general secretary for the city and had previously served as deputy general secretary for Peshawar district. According to police sources Haq was at a shop when three people riding two motorcycles shot at him, killing him on the spot.
Relatives and party workers protested against the murder GT Road near Qila Bala Hisar, and blocked traffic for at least 30 minutes. They demanded the arrest of those responsible for the ANP leader’s target killing.
