Jack Ma, Alibaba’s co-founder, landed in Pakistan following his recent trip to Kathmandu, Nepal.
The billionaire travelled to Pakistan in a private jet offered by Hong Kong Business Aviation and arrived on a Thursday.
His trip to Kathmandu commenced late Tuesday afternoon, with his accommodation at the Dwarika Hotel. During his visit, he toured attractions in Kathmandu, such as Thamel, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, and the Kalimati vegetable market.
Muhammad Azfar Ahsan, the ex-state minister and chairman of the Board of Investment (BOI), disclosed in a tweet that Jack Ma is currently in Lahore, visiting privately.
Ahsan further clarified that the China Embassy doesn’t possess information regarding Ma’s schedule and plans in Pakistan. Ma’s entourage includes seven other individuals, comprising one American and five Chinese nationals, who travelled with him to Pakistan.
Being one of the most high-profile Chinese billionaires, Ma disappeared from the public view during a crackdown on tech moguls. According to the South China Morning Post, he recently returned to China after spending over a year overseas.
