Alia Bhatt Adopts Kapoor Surname Two Years After Marriage

Two years after her wedding, Bollywood superstar Alia Bhatt has officially adopted the Kapoor surname, becoming Alia Bhatt Kapoor.

The announcement surfaced during a promotional clip for the second season of comedian Kapil Sharma’s Netflix show, The Great Indian Kapil Show.

During the promo, which previewed the season’s lineup of Bollywood guest stars, Alia corrected Kapil Sharma after he introduced her by her maiden name, stating, “My name is not Alia Bhatt anymore; it’s Alia Bhatt Kapoor.”

Alia and Ranbir Kapoor, who have been in a relationship for several years, were married in April 2022. The couple, who have an 11-year age difference with Alia being the younger, welcomed their daughter, Raha Kapoor, in November 2022.

This name change, revealed in a public forum, has drawn considerable attention from fans and the media, highlighting the couple’s enduring connection.
